What is an API Connection?
Definition: API stands for Application Programming Interface and connects computers or pieces of software to each other.
How does it work? Badges APIs are an immediate, short data transfer to third parties like Tyler Tech or Zonar. The APIs send information about one record at a time.
SFTP Connection: Inbound and Outbound Services
Definition: SFTP stands for Secure File Transfer Protocol in which one server can transfer files to another server.
How does it work? The SFTP connection ensures your server can automatically transfer files to Badge's servers. Badge's SFTP connection with the server will also act as an outbound connection where any updates in Badge will update in the client's server. SFTP transfers send information about multiple/all records at once
- Record CSV files and Image ZIP files can be uploaded via SFTP
- Image Zip files must be imported without any nested folders in its contents.

- Any modifications in the SFTP connection can potentially disconnect all integrations between servers.
